Barbacoa Mexican Grill – 12805 US Highway 98 East, Suite T101, Inlet Beach, FL 32461
Barbacoa is similar to a Chipotle or Quedoba and is definitely a favorite spot among locals. At Barbacoa in Inlet Beach, you’re able to customize your meal with many choices of delicious meats, beans, rice, and veggies. If you like spicy food like me, then make sure to give the Barbacoa Pork a try.
Barbacoa is located at 30Avenue and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. They have one of the best Happy Hours specials in the area every day. In fact, they have a drive-through style window if you choose to dine outside where you simply knock and a friendly bartender will mix you a margarita or pour you a cold draft beer. We have two young kids so we love Barbacoa because its affordable, delicious, and we can sit outside and enjoy ourselves.
Big Bad Breakfast 30A – 10711 East County HWY 30A, Inlet Beach, FL, 32461
Big Bad Breakfast is fairly new SoWal food spot and it is one of the best restaurants on 30A. Although they focus on “the most important meal of the day”, they also are open for lunch and have a fantastic menu. Big Bad Breakfast is located in “The Pointe” which is a brand new development bordering Rosemary Beach on the corner of HWY 98 and Scenic 30A. Award-winning Chef John Currence opened Big Bad Breakfast 30A in 2017 and it’s quickly become a top area restaurant. Chef Currence has been featured on the Food Network and won the prestigious James Beard award in 2009.
At Big Bad Breakfast, you can dine inside or outside and gaze at the mesmerizing pool. In fact, they even offer Poolside service so you’re toes never have to leave the water. Bloody Mary lovers will appreciate the mix Big Bad Breakfast serves up each day.
Cuvee 30A – 12805 US-98, Inlet Beach, FL 32461
Celebrity Chef, Tim Creehan brought his popular cuisine to 30Avenue when he opened Cuvee 30A. The unique setup of this Inlet Beach restaurant offers dining options sure to please everyone. If you are looking for an intimate dining experience, think white tablecloths, quiet music, and a stunning atmosphere in the main dining room.
If you’re looking for something more casual but still with a great atmosphere then dine at their bar or out on their patio. Cuvee 30A offers an amazing Happy Hour which was voted “Best of the Emerald Coast” by Emerald Coast Magazine. They offer discounts on quite a few menu items including their flatbreads, spring rolls, soups and sandwiches including my personal favorite the Beef Quarters. The happy hour specials at Cuvee 30A don’t stop at the food they also include quite a few crafted cocktails, martinis, beer and wine. If you like live music, they have that as well. Cuvee 30A in Inlet Beach at 30Avneue is easily one of the best restaurants in South Walton and is an absolute must try spot!

Donut Hole – 12983 U.S. 98 E, Inlet Beach, FL 32461
The Donut Hole in Inlet Beach is a top 30A breakfast spot. During the busy spring, summer and fall seasons you’ll often see lines of people out the door waiting to get a table. People gladly wait because the food is so darn good. Like Big Bad Breakfast, they also serve my two favorite meals, breakfast and lunch. No matter what you order, you’ll get a generous portion size. Biscuits and gravy at the Donut Hole are the best I’ve had in this part of Florida by a long shot.
Freshii – 12805 US Hwy 98 E H101, Inlet Beach, FL 32461
Freshii 30A is a quick eats, healthy, family-friendly restaurant option in Inlet Beach. Located in the 30Avenue development, Freshii offers delicious bowls, wraps, burritos, soups, and salads. Also, their smoothies are healthy and yummy!
Shades Bar and Grill – 10952 E County Hwy 30A, Inlet Beach, FL 32461
Shades Bar and Grill is a family-friendly option for casual dining in Inlet Beach. Located right at the east entrance to the 30A corridor, it’s an easy walk or bike ride if you’re staying anywhere in Inlet or Rosemary Beach. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating options both inside and out.
Shades Bar and Grill is the original 30A sports bar as they have huge TVs everywhere. If you’re looking for a Buffalo Wild Wings type spot to watch your favorite team, then Shades is where you need to go.

Edward’s Fine Food and Wine – 66 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
One of my personal favorite Rosemary Beach restaurants, Edward’s Fine Food and Wine serves up amazing meals in a casual atmosphere. Located on the south side of downtown Rosemary Beach, Edward’s menu offers small plates like the Crab Cakes in addition to their top-notch entrees such as pasta, seafood, and steak. At Edward’s you’ll find numerous dining options one being their courtyard where you can sit and enjoy wine, world-class food, live music and the salt air. You also have the option of sitting at their Chefs Counter, in the dining room or out front on the sidewalk. Edwards wine list has won numerous awards and the restaurant is located on Main Street across from the Pearl Hotel. Simply put, Edward’s Fine Food and Wine is one of the best restaurants on 30A.
Havana Beach Bar and Grill – 63 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
Havana Beach Bar and Grill is The Pearl Hotel’s signature restaurant. Inspired by Hemingway’s favorite bar in Cuba, El Floridita the Havana club screams high-end. The atmosphere is unmatched especially when dining and drinking on the outdoor veranda or rooftop bar which offers spectacular Gulf views. The 30A corridor, in general, has very few Gulf view dining options. Although the Havana rooftop lounge is not on the water, it is about as close as you’ll get in Rosemary Beach. The Havana Beach Bar and Grill is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
La Crema Tapas & Chocolate – 38 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
La Crema is more than a restaurant, it’s an experience on the south side of 30A in Rosemary Beach. They specialize in Spanish Tapas, chocolate confections, and wine. La Crema offers a large variety of tapas platters many of which are gluten-free. My personal favorites are the Serano wrapped figs, the cheese fondue, and the Enfuego Chicken. La Crema is also famous for their chocolate fondue. They have indoor and outdoor dining and there is nothing better than sitting in the courtyard, watching the hustle and bustle of downtown Rosemary Beach. The location, atmosphere, food, wine, and chocolate are all extraordinary at La Crema.

Restaurant Paradis – 82 S Barrett Square, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
Restaurant Paradis is a small, fine dining establishment that focuses on coastal cuisine. The menu does change with the seasons as the chefs work to source locally grown products for each dish. Whether you are looking for seafood or steak Paradis has you covered. Their comfortable lounge is also the perfect spot to enjoy happy hour cocktails, with an extensive wine list and crafted martinis.
Southside Slice – 74 Town Hall Rd Suite 1B, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
Southside Slice is a family-friendly pizza, sub, and salad joint and is one of the newest additions to the list of Rosemary Beach restaurants. Brought to you by the same group that owns Shades Bar and Grill, Southside Slice specializes in pizza by the slice which is perfect for a quick lunch before heading back to the beach!
Southside Slice is located next to the Rosemary Beach Town Hall and is the exact type of restaurant needed on the east end of 30A. It’s fast, delicious and reasonably priced which is awesome. In my opinion, the pizza at Southside Slice is among the best in South Walton. The only other pizza I would say rivals it is Angelina’s which is in Seagrove Beach. Wash your meal down with a nice selection of locally sourced craft beers and canned wine at Southside Slice.
Summer Kitchen Cafe – 78 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
The first ever restaurant in Rosemary Beach, Summer Kitchen is a great option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Crabby Steve’s Bar and Gulfside Resturant – 10254 E County Hwy 30A, Seacrest Beach, FL 32461
Crabby Steve’s is the only true Gulf front restaurant and bar on the east end of 30A. The problem is, it can be a little hard to get to as it’s located inside of High Pointe Resort which is a private gated community. High Pointe Resort is located right across the street from Peddlers Pavillion in Seacrest Beach. If you can get through the gate, you’ll find Crabby Steve’s and will be blown away by the ocean views. Crabby Steve’s drinks are really good and their food is awesome. Chef Steve cooks up whatever is fresh from the Gulf and it’s always good.
Again, this really is the only true 30A oceanfront restaurant so it’s most definitely worth a try. One surefire way to get to Crabby Steve’s is via the beach. There are steps open to the public from the beach to the restaurant.

Grits and Grind Breakfast – 10343 E County Hwy 30A #119, Seacrest Beach, FL 32461
A fantastic breakfast spot in Seacrest Beach, Grits and Grind shares the same building as La Cocina Mexican Grill. Grits and Grind offers a classic breakfast menu with a little southern flare. My personal favorites are the Smokehouse Omelet and the Smoked Salmon Benedict. Seacrest Beach badly needed a breakfast spot that offered great food and friendly service. Thankfully, Grits & Grind filled that void.
La Cocina – 10343 E County Hwy 30A, Seacrest Beach, FL 32461
A fun Mexican spot in the heart of Seacrest Village, La Cocina serves cold beer, strong margaritas and delicious chips and salsa. La Cocina specializes in coastal southern influenced Mexican food and offers a variety of dining options. You can sit outside, at the bar or in the main dining area. Every time I’ve been to La Cocina the service has been great and the food delightful. The fish tacos are my personal favorite.
Pizza By The Sea – 10343 E County Hwy 30A #114, Seacrest Beach, FL 32461
Seacrest Beach is just one of four locations for Pizza by the Sea as you’ll also find them in WaterColor, Gulf Place and Miramar Beach. This is an extremely successful 30A restaurant that continues to impress. In Seacrest Beach, Pizza by the Sea is located next to La Cocina near Peddlers Pavillion. Pizza by the Sea is one of my favorite lunch spots on 30A because it’s reasonable and always tasty. In addition to pizza, they offer a Meatball Sandwich that will knock your socks off, pasta dishes, bowls and salads. Pizza by the Sea is a family-friendly 30A food spot that will not disappoint.

Ok… so this isn’t exactly in the traditional eatery category but Charlie’s Donuts in Alys Beach is such a popular food truck that we had to include it in this list of best restaurants on 30A. During the busy season, they open around 6:30 am and typically sell out within a couple hours. It was founded by a retired military Colonel and Engineer named Charlie back in 2007.
Parents staying close to Alys Beach, this is a great spot to take your kids at least once while on vacation. Charlie’s Donuts Truck is located on the north end of the Alys Beach Amphitheater and there is a fountain next to it that kids love to play in as well.

George’s is an undisputed Top Ten 30A restaurant but don’t take my word for it. Simply read their Google and Facebook reviews and you’ll see what I mean. It’s a cottage style restaurant that serves upscale coastal fare in a spectacular setting.
George’s just recently opened their rooftop space where people can enjoy a beverage and Gulf views. You’ll find indoor and outdoor seating options and the best Grouper Tacos money can buy. Everything on their menu is heavenly and for those people that are serious about sampling the best restaurants on 30A, you need to try George’s in Alys Beach.
Caliza Restaurant – 23 Nonesuch Way, Alys Beach, FL 32461
Fresh Gulf seafood, craft cocktails, and wine served poolside. Sounds pretty good to me! Caliza is a higher-end dinner spot located right at the stunning Alys Beach Pool. This is a good girls night out or couples date night spot.
Fonville Press – 147 West La Garza Lane, Alys Beach, FL 32461
Once upon a time, Fonville Press was simply a coffee shop. Fast forward to 2018 and Fonville Press in Alys Beach has transformed into so much more and is now a full-fledged restaurant. The new Fonville Press serves breakfast, lunch and dinner!
They have a fantastic outdoor seating area adjacent to a brand new kids playground so its an extremely family friendly place. In addition to great coffee drinks, they also have a large wine list and craft beers on tap. As a married man with 2 young kids, I can assure you Fonville Press is a great option in Alys Beach.

Bruno’s is one of the most popular lunch spots on 30A. Their lunch special every day is an All You Can Eat Salad and Pizza buffet for $7.94. That price also includes a fountain drink with unlimited refills. In terms of South Walton restaurant prices, that’s a really good deal. Bruno’s Pizza has been voted the best on 30A for 21 years which is impressive. You’ll find Bruno’s at the main WaterSound entrance and they offer indoor/outdoor dining options.

Gulf Place Restaurants
La Playa – 37 Town Center Loop C8, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
I absolutely love La Playa located at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach. It’s a kid-friendly Caribbean / Mexican / Spanish / Coastal cuisine style restaurant that offers awesome outdoor dining options. La Playa often has live music during the summer months and it’s a great spot to relax, enjoy amazing tacos, and take in the Gulf views. They have a large selection of draft beers and Spanish wines at La Playa that are sure to keep your whistle wet.
Perfect Pig Grill and Fish House – 7 Town Center Loop C11, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at The Perfect Pig Grill and Fish House at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach. They serve all 3 meals and they have perfected each one. The Perfect Pig (also have a Seagrove Beach location) does every dish extremely well and is a favorite 30A restaurant among locals and visitors alike. Their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus have something for everyone and it’s a kid-friendly restaurant. If you’re visiting 30A, make sure to dine at The Perfect Pig before you leave because it truly is one of the best restaurants on 30A.
Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar – 1875 S Co Hwy 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar is a brand new restaurant on 30A named after a popular local reef. It’s located at the corner of Hwy 393 and 30A right next to Gulf Place. It offers a bunch of open-air dining options and has a large upstairs dining area that offers stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to oysters, you’ll find fresh seafood, burgers, chicken and more at Shunk Gulley in Santa Rosa Beach. South Walton needs more restaurants on 30A that offer Gulf views so Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar is a much welcome new establishment.
South of Philly – 1598 S Co Hwy 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
South of Philly is not exactly at Gulf Place but it’s really close and is one of the best hole-in-the-wall Santa Rosa Beach restaurants. Do a Google and Facebook search and you’ll see they 100s fantastic reviews which means it’s a legit South Walton food spot. At South of Philly, you’ll find authentic cheesesteaks, craft burgers, salads, wraps and a bunch of sandwiches. My list of top five 30A lunch spots definitely includes South of Philly in Santa Rosa Beach.

Santa Rosa Beach Restaurants
Louis Louis – 35 Mussett Bayou Rd, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Brought to you by the same folks that created The Red Bar, Louis Louis is its twin brother. You’ll find the same funky vibe inside and a very similar menu to The Red Bar in Grayton Beach. Fast service, full bar, great food and lots of character is what you’ll experience at Louis Louis in Santa Rosa Beach.
Stinky’s Fish Camp – 5960 W County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
What is the most popular seafood restaurant and wine bar on the far west end of the 30A corridor in Santa Rosa Beach? The answer is unquestionably Stinky’s Fish Camp in Dune Allen Beach.
At Stinky’s Fish Camp you’ll find handcrafted chef-driven dishes made with the freshest local ingredients served in a laid-back, fun atmosphere. They have a large menu that includes oysters, Gulf seafood, tacos, burgers, gumbo, grouper, Po’ Boys and more. The Bay – 24215 Hwy. 331 South, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Located right on the Choctawhatchee Bay at the foot of the 331 Bridge, The Bay has quickly become one of the best 30A area restaurants. The setting at The Bay is really unmatched as they are right on the water and have a beach and private dock where you can tie your boat up. You’ll find indoor and outdoor seating options at The Bay.
They have a covered, outdoor deck that has a bar and offers fantastic water views. In addition, they have a large bar inside The Bay restaurant and make some of the best cocktails in SoWal. Wine lovers will appreciate their huge list of Rose, Reds and Whites. If sipping a cold beer overlooking the Choctawhatchee Bay is your thing they have plenty of that as well. The menu at The Bay has something for everyone including kids so it’s truly a family-friendly South Walton restaurant experience.
Vue on 30A – 4801 W County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Fine dining on the Gulf of Mexico is what you’ll get at the Vue on 30A in Dune Allen Beach. The Vue offers one of the best waterfront dining venues on 30A and is only rivaled by Crabby Steve’s in Seacrest Beach and Bud & Alley’s in Seaside. Please understand my comparison here… The Vue, Crabby Steve’s and Bud & Alley’s are all totally unique restaurants in their own right but the one thing all share in common is they are the only 3 truly Gulf-front restaurants on 30A. The Vue is located across the street from Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club which is one of the best courses in the area.
